What is your Smoking Policy?
We are a non-smoking establishment. Blue Dolphin Inn & Cottages prohibits indoor smoking, but receptacles are provided for those who wish to smoke outdoors.
Do you allow Pets?
Pets are allowed in the Cottages, Camper, and Office Apartment only, with prior approval and a $100 fee. The fee covers flea treatment after any pet visit. No pets are allowed at the inn.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
Blue Dolphin Inn & Cottages’ policy holds that if cancellation is necessary, it must be done at least two weeks before the reservation date to receive a refund.
Blue Dolphin Inn & Cottages will hold your payment and apply it to a future stay if cancellation occurs within two weeks, but at least 48 hours before the reservation date.
If cancellation is within 48 hours, the deposit will be forfeited.
How far is Blue Dolphin Inn from New Orleans?
The island is approximately 1½ to 2 hours south of New Orleans, Louisiana (depending on traffic and starting point).
Does Blue Dolphin Inn have RV hookups?
Yes! Our RV spaces include:

What are your Hotel Rules?
Quiet hours are between 11 p.m. – 8 a.m. out of respect for guests who came here to rest.
Please be considerate and keep the noise level down so that other guests are not disturbed.
No smoking in the rooms.
Please clean the dishware that you use.
For a $100 fee, pet friendly lodging is available only in the cottages and the camper. Pets are not allowed in the inn. Pets must be crated if left indoors unattended must be supervised by an adult at all times for safety.
Unregistered/extra guests aren't permitted without management acknowledgement.
Blue Dolphin Inn & Cottages requires that all coolers with seafood must be left outside. Please do not bring them into the rooms. Blue Dolphin Inn & Cottages ask that guests clean all fish/seafood and outdoor cooking utensils outside in the facilities provided under the Inn. Debris from both cleaning and eating MUST be placed in double plastic bags and put in the dumpster by the street. If no plastic bags are available, please call the office at 504-559-6888 so we can replenish them. We want it to be nice, clean, and odor free for everyone!

Yes. Blue Dolphin Inn & Cottages offers cabin-style cottage rentals in Grand Isle, Louisiana, located just across the street from the beach with Gulf views. Our newly renovated cottages feature two bedrooms, full kitchens, and space for up to eight guests, giving you the comfort of a private beach rental with the support of a locally owned inn. Guests also have access to outdoor grilling areas, a fish cleaning station, on-site laundry, Wi-Fi, and ample parking for vehicles, boats, and golf carts. Larger groups may also enjoy Queen's Quarters, which sleeps six with two queen beds and a full kitchen.
What's the difference between your suites and cottages?
Our suites are located in the inn directly on the Gulf of Mexico, so you can step out onto the beach within seconds. Each suite sleeps up to five and includes a kitchenette. Options include the Gulf Front Suite, the Deluxe Suite, and an accessible Junior Suite. Our cottages sit just across the street with Gulf views and offer more of a vacation rental experience, with full kitchens and room for up to eight guests in the Large Cottage. Choose a suite if being right on the sand is your priority. Choose a cottage if you want more space, a full kitchen, and a home-away-from-home feel.
